Position Overview

LJI operates family homes and one hostel for orphaned and abandoned children in South Asia. This school supports the mission of educating these children to become community leaders. This role is a full‑time leadership position based in South Asia reporting to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with the local administrator to ensure daily operations advance the school’s strategic goals.
  • Hire and oversee expat teachers and facilitate the hiring, training, assessment, and empowerment of local teachers.
  • Develop long‑range plans for the educational and operational programs to deliver high‑quality offerings.
  • Direct the education program and operations in collaboration with the administrative team.
  • Direct the business aspects of the school—payroll, budgeting, accounting, purchasing services, maintenance, transportation, facility construction and renovation, and other general activities.
  • Supervise teaching methods, curriculum, and staff development programs, including ongoing revision of curriculum guides, textbooks, and other materials.
  • Develop and implement educational evaluation and testing programs.
  • Build and maintain a team of financial supporters through regular communication and updates.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the President.

  • Experience & Skills
    • Bachelor’s degree or higher (preferably in education).
    • School administration and teaching experience (overseas preferred but not required).

    • Logical reasoning, problem‑solving, and basic quantitative skills.
    • Strong work ethic, self‑motivation, and adaptability to changing circumstances.
    • Teachable and willing to learn from others.
    • Strong passion for children and education.
    • Sensitivity to cultural differences and experience in cross‑cultural contexts.
