Field/Service Technician, Operations Management
The Project Manager is responsible for being an organized, service-orientated individual to manage projects for a variety of Customers. Position is responsible for communicating with a variety of departments, vendors, employees, and customers to ensure projects are completed on time and to budget. Position also will suggest additional services to Customers that will enhance and/or ensure the safety and efficiency of the Customer’s operation.
Responsibilities- Oversee day-to-day operations, including project execution, field activities, resource coordination, and resolution of customer and operational issues.
- Participate in hiring efforts and mentor, coach, motivate, and develop team members through performance reviews and ongoing feedback.
- Schedule and coordinate field personnel and resources for local and large-scale projects.
- Provide technical guidance, review quotes, perform site walks as needed, and ensure quality of field work and reports.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams while delivering excellent customer service.
- Monitor project performance to meet profitability and operational goals.
- Partner with leadership to improve processes and support business initiatives.
- Prepare reports and communicate project status as needed.
- Support a safe, productive work environment and follow company policies.
- Maintain flexibility to support customer and business needs, including occasional after-hours or weekend work.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical testing, commissioning, or a related industry.
- Hands‑on experience testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintaining high‑voltage substation equipment (69kV–345kV), including protective relays, breakers, transformers, and control systems.
- Strong knowledge of utility, industrial, commercial, or renewable energy environments.
- Proven leadership, mentoring, and team management experience.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Customer‑focused with strong relationship‑building skills.
- Commitment to safe work practices.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
- Valid driver’s license.
Travel: 100% in or around Omaha, NE
Compensation: Pay range for this role ranges from $50 to $55 (depending on experience, skillset, and NETA certification level) per hour. Full benefits including medical, pension, Employee Ownership Plan, and paid time off.
Physical Demands: Lifting or moving a minimum of 50lbs on a daily, crawling, climbing, standing for long periods of time, and working in non‑ideal conditions. Also responsible for completing computer work.
