Geotechnical Driller

As a Geotechnical Driller you will be responsible for providing assistance to and working with drilling staff, senior technicians, engineers, surveyors, and construction managers.

• Perform drilling assignments under moderate direction and supervision.
• Prepare daily reports and keep accurate records of drilling activities.
• Receive instruction on project objectives, complex features, and possible solutions.
• Set up and monitor the safety and efficiency of drilling operations, including experience on large drilling projects with multiple contractors on‑site.
• Assist with ensuring compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements and understand soil classifications and characteristics.

This position will require a significant amount of travel and working year‑round in all types of terrain and weather conditions.

You bring to the team:

• Ability to contribute and work well on a team.
• High school diploma.
• Capability of lifting and carrying 50 pounds.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in geotechnical drilling or the construction industry.
• Ability to obtain and maintain railroad and safety certifications.
• Ability to pass Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). and obtain a commercial driving license (CDL).
• Experience with the following drilling disciplines:
  • Hollow stem augers (3 1/4-ab 4 1/4-ab 6 1/4-ab).
  • Well installation (2-inch, 4-inch, and 6-inch).
  • American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) sampling methods.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and maintain safety.
