As part of the Lincoln Industries’ Strategic Sourcing Team, candidates perform the following to support our growth strategy:
- Support company growth by quoting projects with current strategic suppliers in a variety of manufacturing categories (stampings, castings, coatings, polishing, forgings, tube, fabrication and raw materials)
- Analyze technical prints and make suggestions for increasing manufacturability and decreasing costs
- Evaluate and compare supplier quotes based on multiple factors and provide recommendations to the Sales team
- Assist cross-functional teams on project implementation as the key contact for suppliers
- Develop relationships with strategic suppliers via email, phone calls and on-site visits
- Drive cost savings improving manufacturability of products, creating economies of scale and optimizing supply‑chains
- Become the voice of the suppliers to internal customers discussing both technical and general topics
- Lead teams to solve supplier challenges that are outside of day‑to‑day items
- Build relationships between Lincoln Industries’ departments (Account Managers, Supplier Quality, Integration Engineering, Planning, IT, Sales, Accounting) to address and resolve critical issues related to customer needs and supplier performance
- Manage supplier scorecards for assigned key suppliers

We are looking for strong candidates with the following credentials. Experience may be substituted for educational requirements as outlined below:
Education and/or
Experience:
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree from four‑year college or university in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, supply chain management, or equivalent experience.
- Engineering or procurement experience in manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read prints and CAD files for a variety of manufacturing methods.
- Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing experience.
Communication
Skills:
- Ability to effectively communicate requirements and details.
- Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment.
- Ability to be both assertive and fair when working with suppliers.
- Up to 20% domestic and international travel as needed.
