Engineering Internship - Rail Water Resources
Olsson offers clients a full spectrum of water services, including planning, design, permitting, and construction phase services. As an engineering student intern with our Rail Water Resources team, you will perform meaningful, hands-on, real-world work that will transform your classroom experience and help you envision your future career. You will work closely with other team members and engineers on client projects related to hydrologic and hydraulic analysis for stormwater and flood control management, floodplain management, and scour and erosion control.
You'll provide project design utilizing AutoCAD, Micro Station, or GIS/Arc Map. You'll assist with performing technical analysis, preparing construction documents, performing research, and writing technical reports. Depending on the projects, you may also have the opportunity to travel to job sites for field observation.
We have one current internship opening and will consider candidates interested in being located out of our Lincoln, NE or Omaha, NE office location.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Pursuing a degree in civil or environmental engineering
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong attention to detail
