Position Summary
:
The Manufacturing Engineer focuses on continually improving and optimizing production methods, ensuring cost-effective manufacturing solutions, maintaining quality and safety standards, and driving improvement to meet organizational goals.
- Regional Manufacturing Responsibilities
- Work with the Operations team to identify improvement opportunities. Opportunities should be supported by visual observations and data.
- Create and improve work instructions, work centers, and work to reduce work content through automation and innovation.
- Help Operations troubleshoot issues and root cause.
- Share successes and areas for improvement through the business.
- Process Development and Improvement
: - Design and develop manufacturing processes for rotational molding operations.
- Analyze and optimize existing processes to enhance safety, efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Technical Support
: - Provide technical support to the production team for troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- Review and revise bills of materials and routings to ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with other facilities to standardize work instructions and routings across similar products.
- Quality Assurance
: - Ensure that processes result in products that meet quality standards and customer specifications.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to develop and implement quality control plans.
- Monitor and analyze quality data to identify trends and implement improvements.
- Project Management
: - Lead and manage engineering projects from conception through implementation.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Communicate project status and progress to stakeholders.
- Compliance and Safety
: - Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
- Participate in safety audits and implement corrective actions to address hazards.
- Promote a culture of safety within the manufacturing team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD) and other engineering tools.
- Experience with automation and robotics in manufacturing.
