The Wardrobe Seamster/Attendant is responsible for operating sewing equipment to alter, repair, construct, and maintain team member uniforms and related accessories. This position supports uniform issuance, tracking, laundering coordination, and wardrobe operations while ensuring accurate record‑keeping, compliance with safety standards, and high‑quality garment presentation. The role also provides limited guest mending services when requested.
Key Responsibilities- Practice, support, and uphold the Mission, Vision, and Values of War Horse Gaming, LLC
- Operate industrial sewing machines to hem, gather, reinforce, alter, construct, and decorate uniforms
- Perform fittings, measurements, alterations, and garment modifications using computerized garment tracking systems
- Provide sewing, mending, and alteration services for team member uniforms
- Produce accessories and support mass production needs as assigned
- Issue, tag, receive, and sort uniforms for laundering and distribution
- Maintain accurate records for all uniformed team members and laundry processes
- Track discarded uniforms and handle Lost and Found items according to established procedures
- Assist Wardrobe staff with daily operational duties
- Communicate supply needs to management and ensure adequate inventory levels
- Maintain sewing equipment and report damaged or malfunctioning equipment promptly
- Provide minor guest mending services or retail alterations when requested
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and departmental guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Must be 19 years of age or older
- High school diploma, GED, or relevant experience
- Experience with sewing, alterations, and sewing equipment
- Ability to operate industrial straight‑stitch and blind‑hem machines
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong problem‑solving abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and job‑specific software
Physical Requirements
- Work performed in wardrobe, storage, and casino support areas
- Exposure to secondhand smoke
- Ability to work in confined spaces and areas with moderate noise
- Frequent hand and finger dexterity required for sewing and garment handling
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Prolonged periods of standing, sitting, and focused manual activity
