Swing shift | Schedule varies based on property needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The Mutuels/Sports book Cashier processes wagers for horse racing and sporting events with accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism. This role is responsible for entering betting information, issuing tickets, paying winning wagers, balancing cash banks, and providing superior guest service. While the schedule varies, approximately 90% of time will be spent working in mutuels.

Key responsibilities include accurately writing, verifying, and issuing payments for sports and horse racing wagers in compliance with company policies, state regulations, and federal gaming statutes. The role also involves educating guests on wagering rules, procedures, betting lines, and odds, maintaining and balancing a cash bank throughout the shift, and addressing guest questions, concerns, or complaints, escalating as needed.

Qualifications and experience required include being 21 years of age or older, holding a high school diploma or GED, possessing strong guest service and interpersonal skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Preferred qualifications include experience as a Sports book or Mutuels Writer/Teller, one (1) year of guest service and cash/credit card processing experience, and bilingual skills.

The work environment and physical requirements include frequent standing and movement throughout the work area, ability to lift up to 25 lbs., regular verbal communication with guests and team members, exposure to secondhand smoke, loud noise, and standard gaming environment conditions, and occasional exposure to weather extremes when moving between locations.
