The Slot Technician I is responsible for the installation, repair, relocation, and preventive maintenance of slot machines and related equipment. This position ensures minimal downtime, compliance with regulations, and an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure slot machine serviceability and maintain repair records.
- Maintain equipment to approved standards and schedules, striving for maximum game uptime.
- Assist guests with property and game information as needed.
- Perform urgent repairs and maintenance in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and departmental procedures.
- Inspect all new machines and conversion kits prior to installation on the gaming floor.
- Collaborate with Slot Operations and management to ensure smooth technical operations.
- Troubleshoot and repair electronic gaming equipment down to the component level.
- Communicate technical issues clearly to team members and management.
- Investigate and resolve slot variances in compliance with company policies.
- Secure all company-issued items (keys, radios, devices) and follow company safety standards.
- Attend required training sessions.
- Comply with the Company Compulsive and Problem Gambling Plan, including regulations regarding service to minors and intoxicated persons.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED
- One (1) year of experience as a Slot Technician or in a related field
- Experience with slot machines, electronics, or PC technical systems (degree or certification preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and slot systems
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to interact with mobile devices and touchscreen technology
- Prior use of smartphones and/or tablet applications
- Demonstrated ability to train others
