American Life Financial Partners, LLC., a rapidly growing financial services holding company, is seeking a highly analytical, hands on, and energetic leader to join as a Director, Treasury Operations. We operate as a modern technology-enabled, insurance holding company focused on long-term growth, and to advance the insurance value chain through products and services that focus on reduced costs and increased customer value.
Our objective is to leverage state of the art technology, product-development and administrative capabilities, and relationships and reputation, to create, sell, and administer life and annuity products through third party independent marketing organizations.
We are seeking a Director, Treasury Operations to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing the company's day-to-day cash flow and related cash accounting (including day-to-day banking transactions, activity reconciliations, and projects) across multiple legal entities and banking relationships, while minimizing financial risk. This position handles and oversees a high volume of daily cash and investment activity, while also managing a team across multiple offices/locations.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Knowledge of banking regulations and technology is desirable.
- Develop and implement cash management policies and procedures to optimize the company's cash flow, reporting daily cash balances/uses and forecasting upcoming sources/needs and other changes to liquidity
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate financial risks and ensure the company's liquidity and banking stability
- Support cash controls, including bank/Custodian and internal system reconciliations (servicers’ systems, accounting ledger/sub-ledger systems)
- Support implementation and enhancements of Treasury Management System, including maintaining controls and oversight of data quality
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the CFO, CIO, Accounting, Legal, and other members of the organization, to develop and implement financial strategies and initiatives
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and investors
- Facilitate daily private deal closings through stakeholder and timeline coordination from account setup to asset settlement (including executing wire transfers in accordance with firm’s policy)
- Raise FX and process FX settlements to fund accounts for settlements
- Manage debt covenants (bank and surplus notes)
- Manage, process and report investment expenses and fees
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management
- Provide support for internal and external audit requests
- Strong knowledge of financial and banking industry requirements, cash management, and financial risk management
- Insurance industry experience a plus
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Experience with Oracle, external loan administration TPA software, Clearwater, financial software, and Microsoft Office (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and decision-making
- Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field
- 7-10 years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a treasury and leadership role
This position currently has supervisory responsibilities for a team of five people.
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
