We are a busy, multi-faceted healthcare provider seeking an experienced Manager of Financial Accounting & Analysis to oversee and optimize the organization's financial health. In this pivotal role, you will lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A), manage accounts payable, oversee complex lease agreements, and support tax-related compliance for multiple healthcare facilities including Eye Surgical Associates, Sutton Dermatology + Aesthetics, Lincoln Surgical Hospital, Nebraska Surgery Center and Nebraska Orthopaedic Center Surgery Center.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, analytical strategist comfortable operating in a fast-paced healthcare environment. We are looking for a professional who can translate complex data into clear, actionable advice for practice leadership to drive cost savings and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
  • Reporting & Dashboards:
    Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and forecasts to support executive decision-making.
  • KPI Management:
    Monitor key performance indicators to optimize cash flow and reimbursement.
  • Strategic Modeling:
    Conduct trend analysis and perform pro forma modeling for hypothetical scenarios (e.g., facility expansion or new service lines).
  • Physician Partnership:
    Meet with physicians to provide financial education and assist with operational decisions based on cost-saving and revenue-increasing strategies.
  • Financial Reviews:
    Perform monthly variance analysis and profitability assessments across various services and locations.
  • Budgeting:
    Assist with annual budgeting and long-term financial planning initiatives.
Accounts Payable & Expense Management
  • Oversee the AP process to ensure timely vendor payments.
  • Evaluate and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising the quality of care.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and negotiate favorable contract terms.
Lease & Tax Management
  • Lease Oversight:
    Track and manage multiple internal and external property and equipment leases.
  • Tax Support:
    Coordinate with external advisors on tax documentation, preparation, and federal/state compliance.
  • Audit & Compliance:
    Support year-end closing, external audits, and regulatory reporting.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
  • Certification: CPA strongly preferred.
  • Experience: Proven financial management experience; healthcare experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience in a supervisory or management capacity preferred.
  • Direct experience with tax preparation or supporting tax processes preferred.

    Skills:

    Proficiency in accounting software, EHR/PM systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Communication: Ability to interpret complex data into simple language for non-financial stakeholders.
