• Serve in a customer-facing consultative role, providing finance and grants support in a timely and accurate manner and in compliance with all applicable institutional, UNL, state, and federal regulations, policies, and guidelines.
• Execute and review routine and complex financial transactions.
• Work closely with employees within the served departments and functional office staff, providing a high level of customer service and professionalism in all interactions.
• Function under limited supervision and utilize technology to provide professional services.

• Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of related finance or grant management work experience; additional years of completed relevant education or experience may substitute on a year‑for‑year basis.
• Experience with SAP or a large integrated finance system.
• A willingness and demonstrated ability to learn new hardware and software systems.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality in compliance with rules and regulations, including HIPAA and FERPA guidelines on the disclosure of information.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships within and outside reporting lines.
• Demonstrated ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.

• Experience performing project or cost accounting.
• Experience conducting training.
• Experience serving multiple units as part of a service team.
• Experience performing grant‑related tasks at a University of Nebraska institution.
• Experience with UNL grants management system or similar grants management system.
• Knowledge of federal and state laws and guidelines related to business practices.
• Knowledge of grant terminology and practices.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others.

Posted Salary: $51,961/yr minimum
