Senior Student Accounts Specialist (Open to University Staff Only)
Job Overview:
The Senior Student Accounts Specialist partners with Student Accounts colleagues and campus stakeholders to manage and enhance sponsor billing operations. The role will manage military education funding programs, support corporate, international and campus sponsor processing, and provide clear financial guidance to students and designated payees. The successful candidate will leverage technology and automation to streamline workflows, improve data accuracy, and elevate service delivery.

As a key resource for Student Accounts and the Husker Hub team, the position supports complex billing inquiries, sponsor account reconciliation, and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen operational efficiency and the student experience.

MinimumRequired Qualifications
Bachelor’s or equivalent education/experience in Accounting, Finance or Business related field. Two years proficiency with Microsoft Office products. Experience working with finance/accounting or billing/invoicing. Supervisory experience in a professional office setting. Delivering customer service for escalated cases or complex issues. Strong math skills demonstrated in student finance or general accounting experience. Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills. Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
High level customer service for escalated cases or complex issues.
Experience managing college or university student finances. Experience with military education benefits. Experience managing accounts and report writing desirable. Experience using People Soft or other student management software. Data management or report writing skills. Experience with military funding and/or portals. Ability to interpret financial guarantees and contracts.

Posted Salary: $24.60/hr minimum.
