Chief Financial Officer-Part-Time

Historically the company has operated with a controller and small team in accounting focused on transactional accounting and accurately reporting history. In this position, you will be the company’s first CFO. The owner is enthused about adding a Part-Time or Fractional CFO who will objectively evaluate each business while identifying opportunities for improvement then proactively initiate change to improve each company.

• Understand profitability by company, line of business, product, and customer.
• Strategically evaluate each company, and industry, while analyzing historical performance and trends.
• Create short and long-term strategic plans to lead each business to its full potential and value.
• Evaluate opportunities for improvement, then lead initiatives to streamline processes, implement technology, and automation to increase efficiency and profitability.
• Implement an efficient budgeting, and forecasting system to understand and monitor performance vs goals, and trends, while focused on improving profitability via aligning leaders focused on KPI’s and driving improved results.
• Evaluate acquisitions and divestitures then work with the owner and leaders in each business while capitalizing on the best opportunities.
• Identify and understand risk in each business then proactively implement controls, methods, and coverage to reduce risk.
