Job Duties
  • Use excellent customer service to establish and maintain effective, professional working relationships with team members and Public Transit subrecipients across the state.
  • Support our Financial Oversight unit to monitor the performance and financial status of grant‑funded projects.
  • Provide technical assistance to subgrantees related to administrative, programmatic, and fiscal compliance with regulations, policies and procedures, and agency standards.
  • Work with State and Federal Transit grant programs to monitor and track expenses related to operating and non‑operating expenses, and procurement to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and/or grant requirements.
  • You will be trained to better understand and interpret the Federal Transit Administration grant programs, Federal regulations, and applicable reporting guidelines.
  • Responsible for effectively and efficiently tracking and manipulating data to report operating and safety statistics monthly to the National Transit Database; this will encompass Public Transit across the state.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or other appropriate curriculum, plus two years of significantly related work experience, or a combination of education and experience equivalent to the above requirements. Experience can be substituted for education on a year‑for‑year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience with MS Office with advanced skills using Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience working with federal and state regulations.
  • Experience and appreciation of collaborative, team‑based work.
  • Interest in continuous learning and growth.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
  • Knowledge of Federal and State Regulations, and grant management is a plus.
  • Proficient with MS Office, specifically Microsoft Excel.
  • Effectively communicate to explain complex information to various audiences.
  • Ability to manage time and competing priorities.
  • Ability to learn and apply the principles and concepts of specific agency programs, policies, and operating details to manage grant‑funded programs.
  • Monitor and manipulate data.
