Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an IR Tech with at least 1 year of hospital interventional radiology experience, ARRT-(R), and BLS certification.
Responsibilities- Work in an interventional radiology unit assisting radiologists with procedures performed using angiography, fluoroscopy, CT, operating room, and ultrasound
- Uses equipment including fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound, PACS, and EMR
- Four 10-hour day shifts per week, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Weekday and weekend call required, including one night per week and every third weekend
- A nurse and another technologist are present during call
- No floating to other units or departments
- Hospital-provided scrubs required
- Assist in all interventional radiology procedures with a focus on radiation and laser safety, sterile technique, and first scrub responsibilities
- Collaborative team environment with nursing and technologist support during procedures and call
- Comprehensive orientation covering a wide range of interventional radiology procedures
- 12 hours of non-billable orientation provided
- Facility does not accept local candidates; a 50-mile radius restriction applies
- Minimum of 1 year of hospital IR Tech experience required
- Current ARRT-(R) certification required
- Active State of NE Rad Tech License required
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
- License required if applicable
