The Community Health Services (CHS) Division is seeking a Professional/Technical Worker to support individuals and families in accessing essential community-based resources. This part-time (28 hours week
), supportive position is designed to assist experienced Community Resource and Outreach Specialists with a wide range of duties and general operational needs.
The position assists in serving clients across multiple settings including on-site STI clinic and refugee navigation services, in partnership with experienced Community Resource and Outreach Specialists.
Examples of work include conducting Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) needs assessments, assisting with referrals and follow-up to address food insecurity, housing instability, transportation, and other unmet needs, organizing and maintaining records necessary for this advanced human service work, maintaining accurate and confidential documentation and reporting, and providing flexible operational support as needed, which may include activities such as inventory stocking, filing, client outreach calls, and basic system organization.
It is beneficial to have experience working with diverse populations.
Requires possession of a valid driver’s license in the State of Nebraska.
