Starting at $60.00/hour (Licensed) | $55.28/hour (Provisionally Licensed)
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. with schedule flexibility.

About the Opportunity We're seeking a dedicated Psychologist to join our team at the Lincoln Regional Center (LRC), a 250-bed, Joint Commission-accredited state psychiatric hospital. As part of our Behavioral Health Division, you'll provide expert mental health care to adults living with severe mental illness in a structured, recovery-focused setting. This is more than a job — it's a calling to help people heal, grow, and reclaim their independence.
WhatYou'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations (cognitive, personality, and risk assessments).
- Develop and lead individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Provide both individual and group therapy sessions.
- Serve as a key clinical voice on interdisciplinary treatment teams.
- Offer expert consultation on behavioral strategies and therapeutic approaches.
- Deliver training to staff on psychological practices and risk management.
- Contribute to policy improvements and program development.
- Provide expert testimony at mental health board hearings.
Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Psychology.
- Licensed in Nebraska or eligible for a provisional psychology license.
- One year of post-doctorate experience.
- Experience working with patients with severe and persistent mental illness.
- Expertise in psychological assessment and treatment.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Passion for trauma-informed care and recovery-oriented services.
