Direct Support Professional (DSP)

We are looking for Direct Support Professionals to join our team. As a DSP, you will provide support and guidance to people as they learn and develop important daily living skills and life activities to live as independently as possible.
What Will You Do:- Assist with daily tasks and chores such as cooking, cleaning, and medication management
- Support and promote good hygiene practices
- Run errands such as shopping and attending appointments
- Encourage and foster individuals’ hobbies and interests
- Provide habilitation and documentation
- Follow health and safety protocols
- Ensure individuals' needs are met while preserving dignity and personal choice
- Provide day‑to‑day care to individuals residing in their own homes
- Assist and guide budgeting for individuals, including handling money management activities
- Help individuals plan and participate in social and recreational activities
- Complete and maintain all required documentation on the web‑based system trained on by the employee
- Follow the individual safety plan
- Complete daily documentation (ISPS Data)
- Monitor program compliance and progress with the Individual Service Plan
- Provide a safe living environment that meets individual needs
- Communicate effectively with the team
- Establish and maintain professional and productive working relationships
- Maintain regular attendance
- Attend Individual Service Planning meetings (ISP) when required
- Administer medication as scheduled and monitor health changes
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance
- Reliable vehicle for shift transportation
- Pass all background checks
- Full range of motion, physical strength, and the ability to achieve and maintain training and certifications
Prerequisites:
- Ability to travel both in and out of city limits
- Lifting under 25 lbs and carrying equipment/material as required
