American Traveler is looking for a Sonographer with 2+ years of experience and ARDMS certification for a 13‑week acute care assignment, with a strong focus on general ultrasound, breast imaging, and NICU scanning.

• Acute care hospital setting with a 3‑room ultrasound department using Siemens Sequoia scanners
• Studies include all general ultrasound, breast biopsies, IR procedures, OR cases, NICU neonatal imaging, and Dopplers
• Average caseload of 10–12 scans per tech per day
• In‑house radiologist available for collaboration and documentation
• Uses Epic EMR and McKesson PACS
• 8‑hour day shifts, 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• Every other weekend call requirement:
  Friday 7:00 PM – Saturday 7:00 AM, Saturday 7:00 AM – Sunday 7:00 AM, Sunday 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
• Rotating weekday call, 2‑night rotations from 7:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Holiday coverage required for 2 holidays if they fall within the contract period
• May assist with patient transport for other modalities during low‑volume periods

• Minimum of 2 years of sonography experience
• Active ARDMS certification required;
  Abdominal (AB) and/or OB/GYN specialties strongly preferred
• Active BLS (AHA) certification required
• Experience in breast imaging and procedures required
• Familiarity and ability to scan neonatal heads, kidneys, and occasional spines required
• RDMS Fetal Echo certification is not required
• Pediatric or Breast certifications are a plus but not sufficient as a sole certification
• Active state or compact (NLC) license required if applicable; pending licenses are not accepted
• Driver's license required for consideration — used to verify permanent address is outside 50 miles of the facility
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

• Candidates must communicate and document effectively with radiologists and other care providers
• Trophon probe cleaning system is used for equipment sterilization
• Slate grey scrubs required; scrubs are not provided
• Department‑specific orientation is provided by the supervisor
• Candidates who have been directly employed (full‑time, part‑time, or PRN) by any Common Spirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates previously employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
