Housekeeper

Anant is seeking an experienced Housekeeper, capable of consistently maintaining high standards of cleanliness and attention to detail. As part ofour hospitality team, teamwork is paramount and vital to the overall guest service experience.

Our ideal candidate has previous experience in hospitality and housekeeping; however, this experience is not required in order to apply.

Because our housekeepers regularly interact with guests, we are seeking an individual with a friendly attitude and personable nature to ensure that guests feel comfortable and welcome during their stay. This individual is also ablemeet the physical demands of this position throughout the duration of eachshift.

Job Functions

  • Retrieve items from shelves and storerooms, sets up cleaning cartwith supplies, constantly maintaining carts and storerooms in a clean and orderly fashion to enhance efficiency and ease of cleaning rooms.
  • Clean and wipe windows, doors, walls, closets and fixtures inrooms, public areas and hallways, often using ladders or stools to cleanhard to reach areas, in order to maintain a clean, presentable and attractive facility at all times.
  • Wash shower walls and tub, clean toilet(s) and stall walls if applicable, wipe exposed pipes, and clean mirrors, sink(s) and walls inorder to have clean and sanitary guest and public restrooms.
  • Replace towels, soaps and all room amenities and restocks literature that has been removed by previous guest or is soiled and tornto ensure adequate supply for arriving guests.
  • Wash all hard floor areas (linoleum, tile, etc.) by hand to remove dirt and soiled areas.
  • Dust and polish all furniture, fixtures and wall hangings including using a duster to reach vents and ceiling corners to remove dustand cobwebs.
  • Strip bed of all linen and remakes with fresh linens, checking bedspread, blankets and bed pads for cleanliness, replacing ifsoiled. Lift mattresses to checkfor soil between mattresses and under bed.
  • Check closet for cleanliness, wiping closet door, handle and overhead shelves and restocking the guest room supplies such as hangers,extra blankets and pillows.
  • Vacuum rooms, public areas and hallways, operating vacuums weighing up to 25lbs., and lifting/moving heavy furniture in order tovacuum entire area of carpet including underneath furniture and hard toreach areas.
  • Inspect all door and window locks to ensure they are in working order and immediately alerts management to an unsecured or unsafe situation for the safety of guests and employees.
  • Inspect all room equipment (TV, lights/lamps, faucets, radios) toensure proper working order and immediately reports all room status androom maintenance deficiencies, in writing, to the Executive Housekeeper for prompt repair/resolution.
  • Secure and maintain custody of equipment, keys, and supplies atall times in order to protect and preserve hotel property.
  • Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

Physical Requirements

· Must have visionability to see minute debris and dirt in poorly lit areas, and to read written instructions and computer printouts.

· Must have upper body strength to lift up to 50 lbs. continually throughout an 8-hour shift.
