Overview
Description Of Work
Analyze all employment, salary, and personal data received on the HR/Payroll transmittal forms (PAF, PDF, I-9, W-4, etc.) in conjunction with SAP Personnel Administration. Validate incoming materials for completeness and accuracy. Utilize independent judgment when applying UNL policies, federal/state tax regulation, and INS (immigration) regulations. Train and assist UNL staff in the completion of the HR/Payroll transmittal forms and in the online navigation of SAP.
Serve as initial Payroll contact for walk-in employees and department staff. Assist with processing special checks and calculating tax withholding, leave payouts, and over payments.

Minimum Required Qualifications
- Associate’s in business administration, accounting or related field plus two years payroll and/or accounting experience required; equivalent education/experience considered.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills in word processing and spreadsheets; detail oriented and able to perform work in a timely manner.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting or related field; experience in a higher education setting preferred.
- Experience with ERP and payroll preferred.
Posted Salary: $22.393/hr minimum
