Description of Work

The BPAC Business Center at the University of Nebraska Lincoln supports the College of Arts and Sciences within the following functional areas:
Human Resources, Finance, and Pre-Award and Post-Award Grant support.
As a HR Coordinator
, you will coordinate a wide range of human resources and payroll activities, providing responsive support to departments while ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant employment and payroll processes.
Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating employee appointments and employment actions to ensure accurate, timely pay and compliance with university policies.
  • Reviewing and approving payroll and personnel transactions, resolving routine payroll and time reporting issues, and escalating complex matters as appropriate.
  • Providing guidance to faculty, staff, and students on HR and payroll policies, procedures, and business processes.
  • Maintaining HR and payroll records and data to ensure accurate employee information.
  • Guiding new hires through the onboarding process, completing paperwork, providing instruction on payroll-related systems, and answering questions.
  • Supporting departments with recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding by coordinating documentation and ensuring timely completion.
  • Supporting leave administration, benefits activities, and other employment-related programs in partnership with central Human Resources.
  • Contributing to process improvements, training initiatives, and the standardization of human resources and payroll practices.
