We are seeking an experienced Senior VoIP Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and support of enterprise Mitel voice and unified communications solutions. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently on complex environments while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities- Design, deploy, and support Mitel MiVoice Business (3300) systems
- Administer and optimize MiCollab, NuPoint, and associated Mitel applications
- Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and multi-site implementations
- Configure and support SIP trunks, gateways, and carrier integrations
- Serve as the escalation point for complex voice and call-quality issues
- Collaborate with network and security teams on QoS, VLANs, firewalls, and SBCs
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and network diagrams
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff
- Interface with vendors, carriers, and Mitel support as the technical lead
- Ensure solutions align with security, compliance, and operational standards
- 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting Mitel voice platforms
- Strong expertise with MiVoice Business, MiCollab, and Nu Point
- In-depth knowledge of SIP, RTP, and TCP/IP networking
- Experience troubleshooting enterprise VoIP and call-flow issues
- Strong understanding of network design principles and voice QoS
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Mitel certifications
- Experience with Mitel Contact Center and call recording solutions
- SBC experience
- Hybrid or cloud-based voice environments (Ring Central, Zoom, Intermedia)
- CRM or third-party system integrations (e.g., Hub Spot, Salesforce)
- Multi-site enterprise experience
