Within the Digital Platform Services department, our teams specialize in areas such as cloud, operating systems, virtualization, databases, backup or storage, as well as networking and security. We also have 1st line support consultants who speak French and English, but also Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and German.
The Application Services department is responsible for areas such as software development, data engineering, testing services, CRM, ITSM and ERP platform integrations, as well as application management for customers in Scandinavia, Benelux, France, Germany, Switzerland and the UK.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for Dev Ops Engineer to join Sopra Steria Polska for a client that provides technological and operational support for a project which is providing IT services for a major French telecommunications operator since 2010.
The ToolIP project supports operational services for a major international telecom operator’s OSS environments. This role is part of a larger transition program moving knowledge and operations from the Sophia-Antipolis team to a new nearshore team in Poland, targeting full operational autonomy by early H2 2026.
Responsibilities- System administration of Linux-based servers (Ubuntu, RHEL).
- Installation, maintenance, and updates of infrastructure-level software and services.
- Ensuring server–network communication (DNS, routing, firewalls, syslog).
- Automating processes using Ansible, Bash scripting, Python.
- Maintenance of virtualized environments (VMware).
- Handling incident resolution and supporting performance optimization.
- Participating in transition phases: knowledge transfer, supervised practice, and gaining autonomy.
- Operating systems: Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL)
- Networking: DNS, routing, firewall configuration, syslog servers
- Virtualization: VMware vSphere
- Automation: Ansible, Shell scripting
- Containers: Docker
- CI/CD: Git Lab CI/CD
- Languages: Bash, Python
Must have requirements:
- Strong Linux system administration skills.
- Experience with Ansible, Docker, Git Lab CI/CD.
- Experience with network configuration (DNS, routing, firewall rules).
- Automation mindset and scripting capabilities.
- Ability to operate in a multi-project environment.
- English
Nice to have requirements:
- French
