General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS) is looking for an experienced Intern, Technical Support - Project Engineer to join our Lincoln, NE organization. We are expanding rapidly and looking for motivated and creative individuals who want to help support and shape this organization as we grow. GD-OTS provides reliable and affordable composite products to the defense and commercial aerospace markets.

With more than 60 years of expertise, GD-OTS designs, develops, manufactures, and tests a full range of composite missile and space structures, including rocket motors, pressure vessels, launch tubes and fuel tanks.
This is a Year‑Round Internship located on-site at our facility in Lincoln, NE.

Essential Functions:

• Provides support to technical employees working in an organizational function related to the Intern's area of study.
• Assists with technical tasks and project support.
• Supports equipment set up and monitors tests and experiments.
• Observes results, collects data, and compiles summaries and reports.
• Learns technical processes and procedures.
• Job shadows other more experienced professionals and/or support staff.
• May also support the documentation & updates of procedures or work instructions.
• Handles basic issues and problems.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be currently enrolled in related technical courses or be within 6 months of graduation; no prior experience needed.
• Must be enrolled in a technical college or degree‑seeking program.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge, skills & abilities:
  Ability to work as part of a team, oral and written communication skills, attentiveness, and ability to understand and follow directions.

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
• Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
• May need to stand for long periods of time.
• Work primarily in a climate‑controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
• This position is Safety‑Sensitive.

• No or very little travel likely.
