Position: IT PRODUCT MANAGER

The IT Product Manager is responsible for guiding the success of IT development products through the direct supervision of team members and leading a cross‑functional team responsible for developing and enhancing these critical business systems. This role focuses on defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap while ensuring that solutions align with business goals and user needs. The IT Product Manager collaborates with stakeholders, developers, and project teams to deliver innovative technology solutions that provide measurable value to the organization.

Success in this position requires a blend of technical understanding, business acumen, user empathy, and strong leadership skills.

Essential Job Functions

Develop and maintain product vision and strategy by defining clear objectives and a roadmap for assigned IT products and ensuring alignment with business priorities and long‑term organizational goals.

Oversee IT products from concept through development, launch, and ongoing enhancements, ensuring continuous improvement and value delivery.

Collaborate with stakeholders, end users, and subject matter experts to define product features, enhancements, and technical requirements in order to gather and prioritize requirements.

Coordinate with cross‑functional teams such as IT, operations, marketing, and other departments to ensure product features are delivered on time, within budget, and at the expected quality level.

Conduct market and user research and stay informed on emerging technologies, industry trends, and user needs to inform product decisions and maintain competitive advantage.

Serve as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and the development team to facilitate communication and translate business needs into actionable technical specifications.

Manage product backlog and prioritization and ensure the most valuable and impactful work is delivered first, balancing short‑term needs with long‑term strategic objectives.

Collaborate with IT security and compliance teams to ensure products meet all relevant regulatory, security, and organizational standards.

Promote product adoption through training, documentation, and change management activities to maximize product adoption and user satisfaction across the organization.

Provide timely support to the Help Desk and team members when responding and resolving issues.

Provide clear leadership, guidance, and support to team members, oversee performance, delegate responsibilities effectively, and ensure the team has the resources needed to succeed. Hold team members accountable to Duncan Aviation approved policies and procedures, including professionalism, safety, and workplace cleanliness. Ensure the team’s consistent use of appropriate technical data.

Promote the growth and development of assigned team members to build team cohesiveness and trust. Monitor and evaluate performance in a professional, constructive, and timely manner. Identify and recommend both technical and non‑technical training opportunities, and collaborate with department management to address training needs. Ensure active participation of team members in the departmental mentoring program. Participate in personal and leadership development opportunities and demonstrate leadership and professionalism at all times.

Licenses/Certificates: Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred

Education and Experience

Associate’s degree in Computer Programming Technology or equivalent required
Minimum eight years of computer application development and analysis experience required
Previous Development Project Management experience preferred
