Senior IT Project Manager/BA Coordinator

This full‑time/permanent on‑site role is responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and motivating agile and hybrid project teams with a focus on achieving business results. The role requires a proven track record in managing medium to large‑scale Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS) projects.
Responsibilities- Define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value.
- Organize and lead project status and working meetings.
- Prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues.
- Correct deviations from plans and perform delivery planning and operational readiness for assigned projects.
- Provide complex, highly visible project oversight at the senior or expert level.
- Assist in team development, hold teams accountable, remove roadblocks, and mentor team members.
- Leverage organizational resources to improve capacity for project work and monitor trends to align with strategic goals.
- Support the Product Owner in managing customer expectations for project deliverables, stakeholder communications, and effective governance; may also serve as Product Owner.
- Maintain project documentation and keep stakeholders informed, resolving issues.
- Promote empowerment of the team, ensuring engagement and motivation.
- Monitor and report vendor performance metrics; drive vendor delivery against contract deliverables.
- Minimum:
Bachelor’s degree in project management, business administration, public administration, business information systems, or related field and seven years of experience as a project manager/program manager overseeing major/long‑term projects; or five years of experience with PMP or PgMP certification; or seven years of experience on complex projects. - Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree or higher; at least 7 years of medium–to–large scale project experience; 7 to 10 years of experience with project or program planning, resource planning, work‑plan development, and project management processes; PMP certification; experience with blended methodologies at enterprise level;
Medicaid & Long‑Term Care Information Systems experience; experience with SDLC (Waterfall and Agile, preferably Scrum).

- Analytical, planning, and organizational skills to manage competing demands.
- Critical thinking for complex decision making.
- Deep understanding of business needs and ability to establish high customer trust.
- Proficiency with project management tools (Jira/Confluence, Workfront, , Microsoft Project, Visio) and Office Suite.
- Excellent oral and written communication at all levels, including executive.
- Transparency in reporting project progress, risks, and vendor performance.
- Creative and analytical problem solving with high‑value solutions.
- Vision of big‑picture impacts of new technologies, systems, and teams.
- Leadership to drive projects forward and support business analysts, program managers, and coordinators.
