Overview
Engineering and Technology Education Lead collaborates with Design Studio staff and Capstone Project Sponsor technical contacts to assess and define hardware, software, and data needs for capstone projects. This role establishes initial technical requirements and provides ongoing support for projects throughout each project’s lifecycle.
Responsibilities- Support onboarding of annual capstone projects; serve as a technical advisor and resource for student teams in partnership with Design Studio staff.
- Procure and manage IT equipment inventory.
- Manage software-as-a-service (SaaS) usage and expenditures.
- Coordinate and execute the technical components of annual Design Studio and Raikes School events.
- Provide technical support across the Raikes School, including administering cloud-based services, source control systems, and collaboration platforms.
- Act as the primary administrator of the Raikes School website and serve as the technical liaison between the Raikes School and University ITS and audio-visual teams.
- Maintain and support the Design Studio capstone program and related activities as directed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or related technical field.
- One year of experience in IT services management, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage/prioritize tasks.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to network and build relationships with community and institutional partners.
- Familiar with modern software development tools and methodologies.
- Experience working with students or mentoring.
- Experience working in higher education.
