The Information Technology Support Technician is responsible for supporting and maintaining in-house technology equipment and IT/AV assets. This includes installing, configuring, diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading corporate hardware and software while ensuring optimal performance. The position also provides troubleshooting, end-user support, training, and assistance to ensure seamless technology operations across the property.
Key responsibilities include supporting and upholding the Mission, Vision, and Values of War Horse Gaming; assisting in developing business continuity and disaster recovery plans; installing, configuring, testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting end-user devices, network hardware, printers, scanners, presentation systems, and related software; performing on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex IT and hardware problems; providing Audio/Visual (AV) support and communicating with third-party AV vendors as required;
delivering training and support to end users and staff on equipment operation and system use; maintaining accurate inventories of IT and networking equipment; documenting all instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal; tracking and managing IT hardware/equipment contracts; responding promptly to IT support requests via calls, pages, and emails; and performing additional duties as assigned.
Required qualifications include being 21 years of age or older, holding a high school diploma, having two (2) years of experience installing and troubleshooting Windows operating systems, desktop hardware, and Microsoft products, with exposure to deploying and maintaining servers and network equipment in a data center; one (1) year of experience working in an Active Directory environment using system tools such as Wire Shark, Fluke Meter, Altiris, and Ghost;
strong English communication skills (written and verbal); previous experience in a casino setting; and experience with gaming systems, table game systems, cash-dispensing systems, and kiosk technology.
Preferred qualifications include Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA A+, or Network+ certification.
The work environment and physical requirements include exposure to varying conditions including weather, confined spaces, noise, dust, chemicals/fumes, heights, and secondhand smoke; requires regular lifting of up to 50 lbs., physical agility, balance, coordination, and dexterity for handling IT equipment; involves extended periods of mobility, standing, and occasional overtime or extended hours; and requires concentration, analytical thinking, and decision-making under time pressure.
