In 1898, nine ranchers in northwestern Nebraska started Stockmens National Bank of Rushville, Nebraska. RoleThe Insurance Agent sells insurance and assists customers with all insurance needs.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities- Contacts prospective customers about insurance products and policies.
- Meets with potential customers to discuss adequacy of existing insurance coverage and related financial resources.
- Explains various insurance policies and products to potential and existing customers; guides customers in selecting coverage to best meet their needs.
- Suggests modifications and updates to customer's existing insurance policies.
- Builds customized insurance policies and packages to meet customer’s needs.
- Processes insurance policy renewals.
- Assists customers with filing insurance claims.
- Maintains print and electronic records and files as required.
- Promotes and represents the agency and makes referrals to other departments.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
- Provide helpful and informative service and support to all customers and associates.
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer and internal inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
Skills and Abilities
Education and/or Experience.
- High School Degree or General Education Degree (GED).
- Licensed to sell insurance in applicable state.
- Willingness to test for additional licenses.
Interpersonal Skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to keep accurate records.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs or similar software.
- Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and work independently.
- Excellent time management, communications, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Licensure in Property/Casualty and Life/Health or Crop Insurance.
