Corporate Counsel

This is an opportunity to join our Legal team to support our burgeoning business operations in India. We are looking for someone who is as driven, adaptable, and passionate as we are about the work this dynamic and challenging industry demands. Sitting in 20+ countries, our internal clients rely on us for support on developing, producing, promoting, and selling exciting, cutting-edge technology solutions all around the world.

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including joint development, distribution, vendor, sales and logistics, services, IP license, partnership, and more.
• Counsel business teams on a range of legal topics, including intellectual property, corporate governance, commercial law, competition, employment law and other legal and regulatory areas.
• Collaborate with the global legal team to develop and implement best practices and policies in the areas of contracting, licensing, corporate governance, and compliance.
• Assist in legal aspects of M&A transactions, post-acquisition restructuring and entity management.
• Assist with special projects at all levels of Renesas.
• Build and manage relationships with external law firms in India and coordinate legal services as needed.
• Support compliance initiatives in India including vendor/ third party due diligence, internal investigations and reporting and other corporate governance activities.
• Support global export compliance team on export compliance matters, including guidance on export control regulations and ensuring alignment with global trade compliance policies and applicable laws.
• Advise business teams on licenses, registrations, and certifications required for operations, and liaise with relevant authorities to support legal and regulatory matters—including assessing eligibility, managing applications and approvals, and post-approval compliance.

• LL.B. or equivalent law degree from a recognized Indian university
• Company Secretary qualification
• 6+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in an in-house legal team or law firm
