Assistant City Attorney
City of Lincoln, Nebraska
Pay starting at $83,595- depends on qualifications.
Nature of Work- protecting the City’s interest in civil litigation cases in State and Federal court as well as before administrative tribunals in the areas of civil rights, eminent domain, appeals, tort, worker’s compensation, and collections
- drafting City policies, regulations, and legislation
- negotiating, drafting, and reviewing contracts and agreements
- employment and labor law
- advising elected officials, City departments, boards, and commissions
- Graduation from an accredited College of Law
- Must be admitted to the practice of law and in good standing with the Nebraska Supreme Court.
