We are seeking a dedicated Plant Operations Technician (Maintenance Technician) to join our team! This Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting the Plant Operations Director with maintaining the care of the community facility for residents, employees and the public. This includes, but is not limited to, lawn care, painting, remodeling, plumbing, floor cleaning, and other general building maintenance. The maintenance person must be knowledgeable in all areas of building maintenance and must be able to work independently.

The technician is also expected to assist in all aspects of the building operations, including but not limited to housekeeping, floors, transportation, and laundry should the need for coverage in any of those areas arise.

• Follows and upholds the community's philosophy and goal to maintain, improve and/or enhance each resident's quality of care and quality of life
• Follows and upholds policies and procedures of the community.
• Attends and participates in facility meetings and in-service training programs as assigned
• Follows infection control guidelines
• Observes residents rights including, but not limited to, privacy, dignity, etc.
• Promotes positive public relations with residents, family members and guests
• Follows safety policies, assuring resident safety
• Follows and understands the community's Emergency Preparedness plans
  
  Maintain, repair and service all facility equipment and furnishings as required
• Assist with transportation of the community's residents as requested
• Must possess the ability to operate machinery and equipment in a safe manner
• Maintain and clean all flooring material
• Assist in laundry and housekeeping departments as needed
• Assist with resident transportation/driving duties as needed including; driving residents to and from appointments, assisting residents on and off the vehicle, pushing their wheelchair as necessary, etc.
• May be on‑call as assigned with compensation.
