Position: (USA) Food & Consumables Coach

Position Summary

Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, touring stores and providing feedback. Tourto Teach communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicating business objectives to teams effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards, following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model.
  • Manage and support customer service initiatives such as community outreach programs and store‑of‑the‑community events.
  • Ensure customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved by developing and implementing action plans.
  • Provide process improvement leadership to ensure high‑quality customer experience and drive financial performance and sales of the designated store area.
  • Review and evaluate profit‑loss statements, manage budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses, and monitor effective merchandise presentation and inventory flow.
  • Develop and implement action plans to mitigate shrink and ensure sales and profit goals are achieved.
  • Supervise and develop hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, recognizing achievements, and promoting a sense of belonging.
  • Recruits and develops qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve company growth potential.
  • Coordinate and oversee job‑related activities and assignments, building relationships with key stakeholders and supporting plans to meet customer and business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, support company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity, and implement related action plans.
  • Build high‑performing teams, embrace diversity, and create a workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected.
  • Attract, retain and develop talent, recognize contributions, act with integrity, serve customers and members, and strive for excellence through continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
  • For facilities that sell firearms: successful completion of a firearms‑specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
  • For facilities that sell only ammunition with state‑specific requirements: completion of a current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility.
  • Mandatory attendance and successful completion of all job‑required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership via Live Better U and Bellevue University.
  • Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership via Live Better U and Bellevue University.
  • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
