CNC Programmer

Job Summary

The CNC Programmer will be responsible for creating, testing, and optimizing programs for Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines to produce precision metal parts according to engineering specifications and quality standards. This role requires strong technical knowledge of machining processes, blueprint reading, and G-code.

• Process orders for CNC machines.
• Program CNC machines using Radan for nesting parts on metal sheets.
• Use Rad Punch or Striker CAD/CAM for punch programming.
• Use Rad Bend with Solid Works for press brake programs if proficient.
• Ensure continuous flow of orders to keep the laser stocked.
• Manage expedited parts, including solo sheets or injections into open orders.
• Read drawings and take or read measurements to verify parts.
• Maintain specifications by observing, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, and troubleshooting processes.
• Document actions by completing production and quality logs.
• Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Adhere to safety procedures and regulations.
• Support and assist the fabrication department.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Experience with CNC programming and using Radan, Rad Punch, and Striker CAD/CAM.
• Familiarity with CAD and Solid Works is a plus.
• Ability to follow procedures and ensure accuracy in documentation and data.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality.
• Goal/task-oriented with minimal supervision.
• Team player with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to meet planned and unscheduled deadlines.
• Familiarity with G-code is preferred.
  
  A willingness to be cross-trained is desirable.

• This is a working manufacturing and production facility. As such this is a hot, dusty, loudarea, and there are always moving parts. Caution and attention to your surroundings needto always be at the front of your mind as safety always starts with you.
