Qualifications- Experience maintaining food production and packaging equipment, including preventative maintenance and diagnostic and repair of complex mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Experience leading or supervising maintenance professionals.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Good organizational and time‑management skills
- Able to work with computers, including inventory software, database and other systems
- Able to lift 50lbs occasionally
- Valid driver’s license
The Maintenance Supervisor is a hands‑on technical leader responsible for maximizing equipment reliability and minimizing production downtime across all processing and packaging operations. This role leads a team of maintenance technicians while actively participating in installation, preventive maintenance, advanced troubleshooting, and improvement projects.
This position supports operations including ground beef production, steak cutting, cooked and cured meat processing, and automated packaging systems. Schedule will primarily be Monday–Friday. Occasional weekends may be required to support equipment installation, major repairs, or critical production needs.
Key Technical Responsibilities- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot food production and packaging equipment, including:
- Rollstock packaging machines (Multivac‑style systems)
- Tray sealers
- Bowl choppers
- Automated label applicators (e.g., Ravenwood)
- Lead installation of new production equipment.
- Utilize and maintain a CMMS platform (such as Limble) to manage work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, parts inventory, and documentation.
- Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring failures.
- Train, coach, and develop a maintenance team, setting expectations and fostering accountability in both technical skills and safety protocols.
- Maintain and improve the preventive maintenance program to drive reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
- Coordinate maintenance projects and equipment installations with production leadership to ensure minimal operational disruption.
- Manage outside contractors and vendors, including scheduling, documentation, and project timelines.
- Champion safety standards and ensure compliance across all maintenance activities.
