HVAC Duct Fabricator

Mural Industrial Staffing is seeking an experienced HVAC Duct Fabricator on behalf of a well-established heating and air conditioning provider in the York, Nebraska area.

This is a hands-on, shop-based role responsible for fabricating sheet metal ductwork used in residential and light commercial HVAC systems. The position plays a critical role in supporting installation teams by ensuring high-quality, accurately built duct systems are ready for field deployment.

• Read and interpret shop drawings, cut sheets, and layout specifications
• Fabricate rectangular and round ductwork to specification
• Build duct fittings including elbows, transitions, offsets, and reducers
• Operate shop equipment including plasma table, shear, brake, and related machinery
• Assemble duct using industry-standard methods including TDC/TDF and slip & drive connections
• Install turning vanes and complete finishing work on fabricated pieces
• Use hand tools and measuring equipment to ensure accuracy and quality
• Move materials and finished products using a forklift as needed
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily and weekly production goals
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

• Minimum 3–5+ years of HVAC duct fabrication or sheet metal experience
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and fabrication layouts
• Hands‑on experience with plasma cutting and standard sheet metal shop equipment
• Knowledge of duct fabrication methods including:
• TDC/TDF connections
• Slip & drive systems
• Strong measurement and basic math skills
• Ability to work in a team‑oriented shop environment
• Reliable, consistent attendance and ability to meet production expectations

• Experience fabricating duct for both residential and commercial HVAC systems
• Forklift experience or certification
• Familiarity with shop workflow and production scheduling
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
