About the Role
As a Manufacturing Operator you’ll be part of the team that keeps our production lines running smoothly and safely. You’ll be hands‑on with equipment, materials, and products every day—setting up machines, monitoring production, fixing small issues when they come up, and making sure everything meets quality and safety standards. This role is ideal for someone who likes staying active, working with machinery, and taking ownership of their work area.
RoleResponsibilities
- Run and monitor manufacturing equipment on your assigned line or work center.
- Set up machines at the start of a run, make adjustments during production, and perform changeovers between products.
- Clean equipment and work areas following GMP and safety guidelines.
- Measure, weigh, inspect, and process materials to ensure products meet quality standards.
- Monitor process performance and catch issues early before they affect quality or output.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and minor mechanical fixes during production.
- Replace worn or non‑functioning parts when needed and escalate larger issues to maintenance or technical teams.
- Ensure materials and supplies are stocked and ready so production continues smoothly.
- Move materials safely using approved material‑handling equipment.
- Accurately complete batch records, equipment logs, cleaning logs, and system entries (SAP/ERP) throughout your shift.
- Follow written procedures (SOPs, GMPs, standard work) and seek clarification when necessary.
- Wear required PPE and follow all safety and environmental rules.
- Report safety concerns, process issues, or quality problems immediately.
- Participate in required training and continue building skills to independently run multiple work centers.
- Collaborate closely with teammates, supervisors, and support teams to keep operations running smoothly.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in production, mechanical troubleshooting, or a related field.
- Basic computer skills: word processing, spreadsheets, and data entry.
- Prior experience in a regulated environment (GMP, Pharmaceutical, food, or similar).
- Experience in manufacturing performing equipment set‑up and change‑overs, or demonstrated experience in multi‑system mechanical troubleshooting.
- Experience with a lean organization or exposure to lean concepts, tools, and techniques.
- Knowledge of PAS‑X, SAP, Pro Ficient, and/or computer systems.
- Ability to lift 5–25 lbs. frequently and occasionally lift drums, bags, and cases weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Regular use of various PPE, including bump cap, safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, and N95 or PAPR.
- Team‑oriented and flexible, able to adapt to changing assignments.
- Highly motivated and self‑driven with a desire to continuously improve own skill set, functioning productively with minimal supervision.
Onsite in Lincoln, Nebraska. This is not a remote opportunity.
ShiftMon‑Fri 6:30am‑3:00pm (1st Shift)
