The purpose of this job is to weld fabricated pipe components; meeting product specifications and quality requirements by applying appropriate welding techniques.

Responsibilities- Mig & Tig welding, preferably AWS certified
- Ability to weld thin wall tube applications
- Experience welding 3 and 4 series stainless steel and carbon steel
- Welding spare parts in various directions: flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead, etc.
- Clamping, holding, tack‑welding, heat‑bending, bolting, or grinding spare parts as necessary to satisfy the technical/quality requirements of a welded final product
- Control the processes of fitting, burning and welding to avoid problems in relation to overheat, distortion, expansion or shrink of parts
- Examining finished products and spare parts to verify that they meet specification requirements
- Being in charge of preparing and setting up necessary tools and equipment to weld
- Work within a team environment and train new welders as needed
- Good mechanical knowledge. Ability to read blueprints is required
- Could potentially come in contact with hazardous chemicals

Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Minimum two years related welding experience and/or training
- Preferred: 5 years production welding experience and AWS certification
- Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language
- Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to read and understand work instructions and safety procedures
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
- Category A – High Labor Intensive: must perform the required physical functions
- Physical activity:
Rarely 0‑25%, Occasionally 26‑50%, Frequently 51‑75%, Constant 76‑100% - Regular exposure to uncomfortable conditions; required PPE; frequent indoor work; machine and computer interfacing
- Exposure to hot/cold weather, high humidity, electrical hazards, dust, steam, fumes, noise, chemical and toxic hazards, fire hazards
- Potential confined or awkward work spaces
- Physical actions: walking, stooping, bending, balancing, reaching, continuous standing, climbing, carrying up to 50 lbs, lifting up to 100 lbs, twisting, turning, pinching, gripping, vibration
- Use of hand tools, polishing lathes, equipment, pipe bending/cutting equipment
- Other physical demands: squatting, pushing up to 100 lbs, pulling up to 100 lbs, static work, working above shoulder level, working high reach, working below shoulder level
