Position: Pharma Compounding Technician 1st Shift Monday - Friday

Position Summary

  • Collaborate as part of a team to operate pharmaceutical compounding equipment and perform related tasks.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all activities.
  • Maintain a positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, reliable attendance, and commitment to workplace responsibilities.
Hours

1st Shift, Monday–Friday 6:00am–2:30pm. Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records (timecards, batch records, logbooks).
  • Operate equipment: blenders, dryers, Glatt Granulators, weigh room scales, liquid vessels.
  • Clean and maintain production equipment/facilities; set up and disassemble equipment.
  • Operate in-process devices (moisture analyzers, pH meters).
  • Use material handling devices (electric/manual pallet jacks, hi‑lifts) and apply metric system calculations.
  • Follow SOPs and current cGMPs; maintain housekeeping and adhere to dress code.
  • Practice safe manufacturing (lock-out/tag-out); read/interpret MSDS; use required PPE.
  • Escalate questionable issues; follow instructions; stop processes for anomalies; identify out-of-specification materials.
  • Learn production/process flow; staging and storage locations; key pharmaceutical terminology.
  • Communicate effectively with peers and supervisors.
  • Perform PC tasks (SAP transactions; BMS activities such as Walk‑In Dryers).
Qualifications
  • Required:

    High school diploma (or equivalent); meet physical requirements; read/interpret procedures; apply general math; basic mechanical understanding/hand tools; handheld calculator proficiency.
  • Preferred:
    Technical school certification or 1–2 years of college coursework; 2+ years in a manufacturing environment; familiarity with Windows-based personal computers.
Physical/Work Environment

Routinely lift 20–40 lbs; occasionally up to 50 lbs; may climb/sit/crouch/reach/stand; work flexible hours.

Exposure to cleaning chemicals, loud noise, temperature variations; work at heights up to 25 feet.
