** Position Summary
** The Aseptic Technician will assemble viral and bacterial antigens into final serials.
*
* Hours:

4:30am – 1:00pm. Overtime, weekend, and holidays may be required.
**** Position Responsibilities
*** Assembly viral and bacterial antigens into final serials.
* Understand and apply excellent aseptic technique as it relates to serial production.
* Understand, follow, and complete process documentation in support of GMP.
* Maintain accurate inventories of bulk fluids and other components.
* Perform environmental monitoring.
* Maintain equipment and facilities in proper working order.
* Understand and follow safety policies as they relate to biological and chemical components and equipment to protect personnel and maintain product quality.
* Assist in preparation of SOPs and validation of procedures.
* Train in all functions of the Assembly department and perform other duties as assigned.
** Education and Experience
*** High School graduate or equivalent required.
* Two years post-secondary education with biological coursework desirable.
* Preference given t applicants with relevant experience in biological production and/or aseptic manufacturing.
* Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills, computer skills, and working knowledge of metric system.

Position Requirements
*** Exposure to chemicals, fumes, odors, noise, live steam, temperature fluctuations, biohazards, continuous standing and lifting to a maximum of 50 lbs.
* Weekend and holiday work may be required.
