About the role

As a Manufacturing Technical Operator you’ll be part of the team that keeps our production lines running smoothly and safely. You’ll be hands‑on with equipment, materials, and products every day—setting up machines, monitoring production, fixing small issues when they come up, and making sure everything meets quality and safety standards.

Role Responsibilities
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain manufacturing equipment in a cGMP-regulated environment to produce high-quality products safely, efficiently, and in compliance with established procedures.
  • Perform material handling, weighing, processing, inspection, and in-process quality checks while monitoring critical process parameters to ensure product specifications and quality standards are met.
  • Execute equipment setup, cleaning, sanitization, and changeovers to support production schedules and maximize operational efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues, perform basic adjustments and minor repairs, replace worn or malfunctioning components, and escalated complex issues to technical support teams as needed.
  • Support preventive and predictive maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Proactively identify and resolve equipment, material, and supply issues that could impact safety, quality, or production performance.
  • Safely operate material handling equipment and assist with inventory management to ensure materials and supplies are available while minimizing waste and controlling costs.
  • Accurately complete and maintain production batch records, equipment logs, cleaning records, maintenance documentation, and ERP/SAP transactions in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
  • Participate in autonomous maintenance, continuous improvement initiatives, and the development and revision of procedures and work instructions to drive operational excellence.
  • Maintain required training and certifications, communicate production and quality concerns effectively, and ensure timely escalation of issues to leadership when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Take ownership of professional development by building the skills and knowledge needed to independently operate across multiple manufacturing work centers and advance within the Operator Career Path program.
Basic Qualifications
  • A minimum of a HS Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in production, mechanical troubleshooting, or a related field.
  • Prior work experience in manufacturing or packaging performing equipment set‑up and changeovers or demonstrated experience in multi‑system mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Basic computer skills: word processing, spreadsheets, and data entry.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a regulated environment (GMP, Pharmaceutical, food, or similar).
  • Experience in lean manufacturing or exposure to lean concepts, tools, and techniques.
  • Knowledge of PAS‑X, SAP, Pro Ficient, and/or  computer systems.
  • Ability to lift 5‑25 lbs. frequently and occasionally lift drums, bags and cases weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Regular use of various PPE, including bump cap, safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, and N95 or PAPR.
  • Team oriented and flexible, able to adapt to changing assignments.
  • Highly motivated and self‑driven, able to function productively with minimal supervision.
