Position: Lead Aseptic Technician - B1 Media Prep 1st Shift 6:30am - 3:00pm

Position Summary

The B1 Media Prep Lead Technician will assist the Team Leader to assure adherence of the Media Prep production schedule and ensure the area stays in compliance with policies and procedures set forth by Zoetis and governing regulatory agencies. The Lead Technician will oversee delegating tasks and duties for other technicians in the production area.

Hours:

1st Shift, 6:30 am – 3:00 pm. Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Position Responsibilities
  • Creating weekly schedule based on requests from supported departments
  • Ordering tanks and raw materials needed to meet production schedule
  • Training (evaluating and signing off) new technicians
  • Inventory accountability for production area
  • Review batch records for RFT metric
  • Updating and creating SOPs and batch records for Media Prep
  • Writing and assisting with ETS (Change Control, EMR Reports, Incident/Deviations)
  • Assisting in the interview process of new applicants
  • Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
  • High school degree or equivalent required
  • Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledgeable in SAP and Microsoft Office
  • Weekend and holiday work may be required
  • Preference given to applicants with relevant experience in biological production and/or aseptic manufacturing
  • Two years post‑secondary education with biological coursework desirable
Physical

Position Requirements
  • Exposure to chemicals, fumes, odors, noise, live steam, temperature fluctuations, biohazards, continuous standing and lifting to a maximum of 50 lb
  • Weekend and holiday work may be required
