Robotic Welding Operator
The role of a Robotic Welding Operator is to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all robotically automated welding cells. This position is designed to optimize the welding department's workload, ultimately reducing the need for additional personnel. Team members will be responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting all automated welding cells. The shift may begin with a smaller team but has the potential to expand based on workload and performance.
Responsibilities
- Operate a robotic welder efficiently.
- Set up new jobs on all cells.
- Ensure efficient production operation with the ability to meet proven job rates.
- Troubleshoot faults experienced during automated production.
- Inspect parts and quarantine non-conforming parts with appropriate labeling.
- Record accurate job progress data, both handwritten and through the ERP system.
- Recognize defects in welds and perform spot checks.
- Stop production if parts are created incorrectly.
- Opportunity to learn hand welding if desired and promising.
Skills
- Experience in welding and production welding.
- Machine operation skills.
- Proficiency with MIG welding and MIG welders.
- Knowledge in robotics and laser technology.
- Minimum of 1+ year experience in a production, manufacturing, or machine operation environment.
- Tenure of 6+ months in most recent position with consistent job tenure of 1 year or more in an industrial or production position.
Work Environment
Work in a large sheet metal facility located in an airpark, featuring heated and air-conditioned warehouses. The first shift operates from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with mandatory overtime on Fridays when applicable. The second shift is from 4:30 PM to 3:00 AM, Monday through Thursday, with potential overtime on Fridays. The dress code includes steel-toe boots, jeans, and solid t-shirts in company colors (white, black, red, or gray).
Denim jeans or shorts are acceptable during hotter months. Welding sleeves are provided, and Aerotek shirts are permitted.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lincoln, NE.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
