Position: Molding - SAP Production Control Coordinator - 7 am to 3 pm (Mon - Fri)

Position Summary

The SAP Production Control Coordinator ensures the accuracy, flow, and integrity of all production‑related data within SAP. This role supports daily manufacturing operations by reviewing production orders, investigating discrepancies, technically completing orders, and monitoring inventory across storage locations. The coordinator acts as the bridge between production, materials management, planning, and finance to ensure smooth execution and accurate reporting in a fast‑paced packaging environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production Order Management
    • Review and maintain production orders in SAP (PP).
    • Production Order Closeout
      • Review production orders for completion and transactional accuracy.
      • Verify all material consumption, yield scrap, and inventory postings have been completed.
      • Resolve outstanding COGI errors and inventory discrepancies before order closure.
      • Perform Technical Completion (TECO) of production orders in accordance with established timelines.
      • Ensure production orders are ready for month‑end financial processing.
    • Monitor order progress and ensure timely confirmations (yield, scrap, machine run time, and verify labour confirmation).
    • Investigate discrepancies such as incorrect backflush, missing components, or inaccurate postings.
    • Support supervisors and operators with SAP transaction issues (CO11N, COHV, COGI, COOIS, etc.).
  • Inventory & Material Control
    • Monitor inventory PSA and NONHU storage locations (MMBE and MB52).
    • Ensure MASS PSA locations are stocked (physically and systematically).
    • Investigate and resolve stock variances, negative inventory, and incorrect postings.
    • Coordinate with warehouse and production teams to correct physical vs. system inventory mismatches.
    • Support cycle counts and inventory accuracy initiatives.
    • Ensure proper material staging, back flushing, and consumption postings for WIP and finished goods.
  • Data Integrity & Troubleshooting
    • Analyze production variances and identify root causes (material usage, scrap, labor).
    • Validate master data issues related to BOMs, work centers, production versions, and material masters.
    • Collaborate with planning, quality, and maintenance to resolve systemic issues.
    • Maintain clean, accurate SAP data to support KPIs, costing, and financial reporting.
  • Cross‑Functional Support
    • Work closely with Production Supervisors to ensure accurate shop‑floor reporting.
    • Partner with Supply Chain/Planning to ensure material availability and order readiness.
    • Support Finance during month‑end close by ensuring all orders are confirmed and TECO’d.
    • Provide feedback and support to operators, leads, material handlers, and supervisors.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
    • Production order accuracy and on‑time TECO rate.
    • COGI errors trend.
    • Inventory accuracy (% match between SAP and physical counts).
    • Reduction in production variances (material, scrap, labour).
    • Timeliness of discrepancy resolution.
Qualifications
  • Education
    • High School Diploma required.
    • Post‑secondary diploma in inventory management or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Experience
    • 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing, ideally in packaging (corrugated, labels, flexibles).
    • Experience in production reporting, inventory control, or materials management.
  • Technical Skills
    • Proficient in working with ERP systems (SAP PP and MM modules are considered an asset).
    • Understanding of BOMs, routings, work centers, and production versions.
    • Ability to analyze data and identify root causes of discrepancies.
    • Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data validation).
  • Soft Skills
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration.
    • Problem‑solving mindset with ability to work independently.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume manufacturing environment.
