Welder - $26/Hour - 4 Day Week

This role focuses on production MIG welding using short arc or pulse processes with Millermatic MIG welding machines. You will primarily weld table‑top fixtures on a 4x4 work surface, producing functional and aesthetically acceptable welds in a high‑output environment. Over time, and with training, you may advance to welding larger assemblies such as chamber lines and large smokers.

Responsibilities
  • Perform short arc or pulse MIG welding using Millermatic MIG welding machines on a variety of production parts.
  • Weld table‑top fixtures on a 4x4 tabletop on casters, handling assemblies that range from simple two‑component setups to more complex fixtures with seven or eight components.
  • Place components into pre‑qualified weld fixtures and weld them into finished products, relying on the fixture to ensure part accuracy.
  • Produce quality welds that are primarily functional while maintaining an acceptable and consistent aesthetic appearance.
  • Manage time effectively in a production welding environment to meet output and efficiency expectations.
  • Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, protractors, height gauges, and tape measures to verify basic dimensions and ensure components fit properly within fixtures.
  • Follow established welding procedures and safety guidelines while working in a large warehouse environment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper handling of equipment, tools, and materials.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to address production needs, resolve issues, and support continuous improvement.
  • Adhere to all facility rules, including restrictions on personal devices on the production floor.
Skills
  • At least 2 years of MIG welding experience in a production or similar environment.
  • Proficiency in short arc or pulse MIG welding using Millermatic or comparable MIG welding machines.
  • Ability to perform production MIG welding on fixtures and assemblies of varying complexity.
  • Basic experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, protractors, height gauges, and tape measures.
  • Capability to read and interpret basic blueprints and welding‑related documentation.
  • Strong time‑management skills to work efficiently in a production welding setting.
  • Ability to consistently produce functional welds with acceptable aesthetic quality.
  • Comfort working with stainless steel and other metals commonly used in production welding.
Qualifications
  • 1+ year of shipping experience is preferred.
  • 1+ year of forklift experience is preferred.
  • 1+ year of TIG or stick welding experience is preferred.
  • Experience with stainless steel welding and stainless steel fabrication.
  • Robotic welding or exposure to automated welding processes.

    Prior experience in fabrication environments involving MIG welding, blueprint reading, and production welds.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $25.00/hr.
