About the role
The Material Handler performs a wide variety of tasks focused on receiving, warehousing, delivering, shipping, and maintaining accurate inventories as required to support the Lincoln plant.
Role Responsibilities- Operates material handling equipment including standup forklifts, pallet jacks, powered pallet jacks, vacuhoist, carton clamp, and slip-sheet attachment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ensures material receipt, warehousing, and delivery to point of use in order to meet internal/external customer expectations including shipments of finished goods to the off-site Distribution Center.
- Load and unload trailers that are going between our off-site Distribution Center and main site.
- Check/verify, sign for inbound freight from suppliers, complete cleaning & labeling of materials. Assist in completion of receipts and shipments as needed.
- Deliver all materials and product to work centers in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintains material inventory quantity accuracy via physical counts & inventory management system transactions to maintain accurate inventory.
- Maintains material location accuracy via RF scanner.
- Check out, operate, troubleshoot, clean, and report issues pertaining to material handling equipment.
- Maintain training on SOPs, Policies, GMPs, OSHA guidelines, and Safety Security & Environment guidelines.
- Maintain a high level of safety awareness. This includes participating in the ZAP program. Our behavior-based safety program to help identify potential risks in the workplace.
- A minimum of a HS diploma/GED is required.
- 6+ months of related experience is required. Related experience could include similar material handling roles, warehousing roles and/or forklift operation (or other relevant work).
- SAP (or other inventory management system) experience is a plus.
- Forklift experience a plus. Stand up forklift experience preferred for loading/unloading trailers as well as storage in racking and bulk areas.
This role is based in:
Lincoln, Nebraska. This is not a remote opportunity.
This is a 1st Shift position. The hours are Mon-Fri from 6:00am-2:30pm.
