Machinist for our BRAND NEW Lincoln Manufacturing Center in Lincoln, NE! This role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving CNC machining processes while providing hands‑on support for the programming, setup, operation, and troubleshooting of advanced machining equipment. This position serves as the technical owner of multiple multi‑axis CNC machines and is responsible for developing programs, tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing methods that improve safety, quality, efficiency, capacity, and manufacturability.

The role works cross functionally with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Maintenance to support new product introductions, resolve production issues, and drive continuous improvement throughout the machining operation.

Job Responsibilities
  • Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using CAM software to improve cycle time, tool life, quality, and process reliability.
  • Program, set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC mills, and related toolroom equipment.
  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes, machining strategies, tooling, fixtures, and work holding for new and existing products.
  • Evaluate current machine capacity through time studies and use the resulting data to recommend and specify future equipment purchases.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications; provide design for manufacturability (DFM) input for new products.
Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of three years of hands‑on CNC machining experience,
  • Proficiency in CNC programming and CAM software such as SolidCAM, or similar.
  • Proficiency in Solid Works CAD software is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and manufacturing specifications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing engineering principles, process development, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience working with aluminum extrusions and precision components is strongly preferred.
  • Strong problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
