The Sanitation Specialist is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe production environment by performing routine deep cleaning tasks in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements. This role requires the ability to work independently, stay focused, and follow detailed procedures, including allergen control and chemical handling. The position involves wearing company provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times and adhering to strict safety protocols.
This position currently operates on a 7:00am-3:00pm shift, five to six days per week. While the standard schedule is consistent, occasional extended shifts may be required from time to time to support operational needs.
- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitizing of production and packaging equipment to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
- Receive comprehensive training in the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), chemical handling, product knowledge, and sanitation procedures across all production areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of chemical storage areas, including the safe replacement of chemical barrels.
- Demonstrate efficiency, integrity, and a positive attitude while carrying out sanitation tasks.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to support a clean and safe workplace.
- Exhibit reliability and consistency, which are essential to the success of the sanitation team.
- Uphold strong work ethic and take pride in contributing to a high-performing team.
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned to support overall operations.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to safety, conduct, and equipment maintenance.
- Develop proficiency in safety protocols and production procedures, including emergency response, hazard communication, lockout/tagout, confined space awareness, and more.
